My story begins with the values my parents carried with them from Malta to Windsor. They built a life rooted in respect, responsibility, and doing what’s right — even when no one is watching. Those same values are what I try to pass on to my two sons today. Even the smallest choices can leave a positive mark on the people around us.
I think that’s a big part of why I’ve loved working in insurance for over 25 years. Helping people—especially in moments when they need clarity, support, or reassurance—is genuinely rewarding. And the way I see it, I’m fortunate to be able to do that every single day.
Of course, life isn’t all work. When I’m not at the park with my kids, you’ll probably find me enjoying a strong black coffee. And if you ask about my favourite meal, the honest answer is anything I don’t have to cook. Still, traditional homemade Maltese pastizzi will always have a special place in my heart.

Nader Touhan is a multilingual language professional and educator based in Ontario, Canada. With over fifteen years of experience in teaching and translation, I have worked extensively in both the Middle East and North America, supporting students and clients from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. I hold a bachelor’s degree from Damascus university, an honorary doctorate in teaching and translation from Arab Translation Association (ARTA), and a diploma in TESL, Ribo License, along with professional certification in translation. Fluent in Arabic and English, and experienced in cross-cultural communication, I am committed to maintaining high professional standards, accuracy, and ethical practice in my work. I am a devoted father of three sons and take great pride in supporting and guiding my family. Motivated by a strong sense of responsibility and ambition, I am determined to secure a meaningful and rewarding career that reflects my skills, dedication, and long-term goals. My commitment to personal growth and professional excellence drives me to continuously seek opportunities that will provide stability and a positive future for my family

Scott Despins
scott@taboneinsurance.comBorn and raised Windsorite his entire life, graduating College from St. Clair College and working locally and professionally in Sports, Advertising and Marketing for over the last decade. Recently married, but no small children yet; his wife is enough of a busy body to keep up busy with activities, excursions and trying every independently owned restaurant within Windsor – Essex.
Working in Insurance and Estate Planning has been in his family his entire life, as well as providing a strong foundation in working within the Church and City. Between working on City of Windsor committees, and volunteering, he certainly tries to keep himself busy as much as he can.
Outside of work, there may be no larger sports fan than himself, between following the four major sports, as well as boxing and maintaining his fitness lifestyle; Sports and Movies occupy what time he spends outside of the office.
He looks forward to building a perfect plan for yourself and your family.

Andrew Despins
andrew@taboneinsurance.comI’m Andrew Despins, born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario but proud to call Windsor home since the early ‘80s. I’m recently retired from the financial services industry with over 30 years of experience as a life insurance agent. My son, Scott is also a life agent with Tabone Insurance and these days I’m happy to step back and just be there to offer help and assistance and share my experiences when needed.

In addition to being a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus, my “me” time is spent with my wife and best friend of over 42 years, Jo-Anne, and our 2 Golden Retriever rescues – Wyatt and Clarice. We also spend as much time as possible enjoying the company of our young grandson. Jo-Anne and I are both volunteers with Golden Rescue, a non-profit organization that helps find forever homes for neglected, surrendered and abandoned Golden Retrievers.
